Municipal Surtax Rates 2025 and correction of 2024 rates

We inform that the Portuguese Tax Authority Portal has published Official Circular No. 20288/2026, which discloses the municipal surtax rates applicable to the taxable corporate income (IRC) for the year 2025.

Official Circular No. 2087/2026 has also been published, which provides a correction of the table and the municipal surtax exemptions applicable to the taxable corporate income (IRC) for the year 2024.

These documents also include information on the scope of the respective exemptions, which is relevant for the correct completion of the Corporate Income Tax Return – Model 22.

Finally, we clarify that this update does not require any changes to the applications.
